Official site of Team F3A 2004-2005

Each team member must take along with himself to the World Championships in France two competition ready airplanes with spare parts, all required fuel and supplies. Since the size of a competition aircraft is typically 2 meters in length and width, special crates must be constructed for the trip and special vehicle rental arrangements must be made for aircraft transport on arrival.

This year the Model Aeronautics Association of Canada (MAAC) will only contribute a portion of the dollars required for each team member's flight and accommodations to the hosting nation of the World Championships. Also, MAAC will pay the applicable entry fees for team member's registration into the competition. As you can imagine, the money allotted to the team by MAAC is not nearly enough in which to purchase 2 round trip airline tickets (per team member), rent a suitable vehicle for transport of airplanes, and to pay for accommodations near the World Championships site for the weeks that we will be there.

The Team does rely on donations of Organizations, Clubs, and individuals like you.

lf you are able, and would like to make a donation to the team, please send your cheque to the team manager Harry Ells 3872 Jamieson Road, RR 4 Coburg, ON   K9A 4J7. If you are an Organization with more resources and you are interested in Sponsoring the team, we could advertise for you in return.
